Fridge door magnet failed?

Hi all,

My fridge door no longer shuts properly - it just closes with about 5mm gap between the seal and the fridge body. Nothing impeeds it, it just no longer shuts with that reassuring clunk...

Is a magnet involved somewhere? Went for a play in Curreys with a similar model and it feels like it. If so my guess is its worn out. My question is - where is the magnet? I can't find anything that looks replaceable! (Its an Indesit GSE160 UK)

My best guess: I have seen regular fridge door seals advertised but also magnetic seals (www.espares.co.uk). Or are all seals magnetic? If I was to replace the seal, would this solve the problem? (Or do I need to take the door apart to find and replace the failed magnet????)

Sorry for the rather basic question.

Many thanks,
Dan

Door seals have a magnetic strip in them. However they can't fail. Most likely the door is warped.
