While measuring our appliance cabinet with a view to replacing an integrated fridge freezer, I noticed that there appear to be a couple of speedfit central heating pipes running down the back of the cabinet (which serve our kitchen radiator). Surely this cannot be good for the fridge freezer??!! Could this be why the fridge tends to freeze items on the bottom shelf?

I wouldn't have thought so, unless some form of direct contact is causing a fault.
If you can not re-route pipes, next best thing is to lag them to reduce heat being dissipated.
