Friends.

I've seen bits and pieces. I can see how "crafted" they are, but I don't find them funny. It's like slapstick; OK, but only for 2 minutes.

Thats the word I was look for. But I couldn't find it.
It was there, I knew whst I meant but it alluded me. I just couldn't find the word.
Crafted it was (another good description) but there was something else that described friend to a big bloody T.
Not good with words but thst words so friends.

Slapstick is still the wrong word. Friends' humour is very hard to describe because many have tried to replicate it and never succeeded. I'll come up with the right word eventually.

Its chuckle laughing : Often
as opposed to belly laughing not as often

The best word to describe it is- comforting
You could lock
your doors and close them curtains and submerge yourself into the American dream as it really is.

There have been many great American comedies, but 'Friends' isn't one of them!

Anyone remember 'Rowan and Martin''s Laugh-In' with a young Goldie Hawn? From the 1960s, it was shown in its entirety on Channel 4 in the 80s. Fantastic.

And the films of Woody Allen, on telly all the time in the 70s but rarely seen now.

Not to mention Sgt. Bilko, Adams Family, Get Smart, Beverley Hillbillies etc.
