Hi
I just wondered could someone sanity check this for me. I want to disconnect our old Salus programmer and replace it with a one channel Wiser hub, which comes with a universal backplate.

Here is the existing wiring:

So would that wiring go to the new plate below as follows:
N - Black
L - Brown
1 - Slate
3 - Green/Yellow

(I appreciate this should really be five core for the earth but this is how I found it)

Thanks...

This is from the Wiser manual (mine is the one channel)

Yup, that's right :)
...and don't add any additional link wires.

For a minimum, some brown sleeving over the green/yellow wire would help.

Thank you! I'll at least get some brown insulation tape.

One of the reasons I swapped the programmer is that when we started using the CH recently (we only moved in 5 months ago) we were finding it was switching itself on or off seemingly randomly. I actually went ahead and installed it before going to bed last night because I was fairly sure the wiring was going to be right and everything seemed OK. Not set any timers or anything fancy up yet.

We were setting the old Salus to 12°c at night because we sleep under a load of blankets and don't want to waste gas, but we would be waking up at random times in the night because the heating had still come on. The Wiser has just done exactly the same thing  I just woke up parched, checked the thermostat and it had set itself to 15°c!

How is this even possible? Dunno whether I need a wiring diagram or an exorcist at this stage.

Edit: My bad. I watched it switch itself to 19°c bang on 0630 so had a play. I only used the installer part of the app last night and went to bed assuming it would be manual by default. I just registered the homeowner account to discover it comes with schedules preset

Bang goes my lie-in, might as well do the smart TRVs now...
