Two things really:

1. I have a 50 year old oak front door which is nice looking but is bowed so it sits about 1cm from the frame at both the top and bottom. I have some rubber draft excluder on the frame but it doesn't help much. Any ideas?

2. Next to the front door is a stud wall about 2 metres by 85cm. I took the postbox off to decorate and discovered that it has a gap of about 3-4cm inside (it revealed an old letterbox). The over all thickness of the wall is about 12cm. Do you think it would make any difference to fill the gap with some spray insulation?

Thanks
Andy

I think I would go with Celotex or just plain polystyrene that way you can still have a small air gap left and if you have trouble with condensation or any other unforeseen problems it can be taken out again.
Not sure about a vapor barrier, I must admit I get a bit confused about which side of the insulation it should be in different locations:(
