Hi, Ive stripped an old 30s door down to the wood to repaint. Not sure what to paint it with though. Was thinking of using Johnstones for primer undercoat and top coat - solvent based. Top coat would be gloss.
No experience of painting exterior doors so any other thoughts would be helpful. Also because ph level will have been raised due to the stripping product I used, I am thinking of using bullseye 123 for the first coat. Might not be needed given I will neutrailise the wood, but if I do, am I ok to use solvent based primer undercoat on top of 123 and at which point do I fill - before any paint or after first coat?
Thanks.
