FSU in Bathroom

Is a fsu allowed inside a bathroom? It is supplying a boiler, which is going to be enclosed inside a cupboard. It is not on a rcd

There was talk awhile back that a cupboard or an enclosed area for a boiler in a bathroom is outside the bathroom zone spec, I would await further banter before accepting my advice

and chri5.. i don't like your use of the term "special locations", this implies that you'd need rcd's on computer rooms, earth free locations etc...

17th isnt out yet, it could change from the draft.

Even if you put in RCD protected circuits, right now we are still working with 16th and u sign off that work complies with the 16th. So its still supp bonding and all that stuff (you know you love to do it)

CJ- calm down lad, your comment is valid, but there's no need to be such a pendant. Show me a DI that requires computer room set up's and earth free locations (1:1000 maybe ).

it wasn't meant that way..

I was just trying to point out that since New2 is "in the trade" so to speak, then your generalisation may have mislead him into a belief that isn't strictly true.. That ALL special locations requre RCD's fitted to be compliant..
