Fuel Price Shoots Up, what a surprise.

I couldn't give a shyt what a milk float costs.

That's good to know. Most of the anti-EV brigade complain they're too expensive, but it's reassuring to know that's not something that bothers you...

It's enough to know that milk floats produced today won't be on the road in 10 years, or even less.

I'm guessing you don't have any evidence to back that up? (Just a wild guess, of course...);) You...er... do realise that plenty of EVs made 10 years ago are still on the road TODAY, don't you...?:ROFLMAO:

That's environmentally friendly for halfwit imbecils like you.

I'm glad you're coming round to our way of thinking. The evidence is, indeed, overwhelming...

Get rid of postal vote and see what happens.
70 people registered to vote in a studio flat...

How does it go now...? "I couldn't give a shyt about your sour grapes..."?;)

As I've said before, I'm giving you the chance here, to provide a bit more information. You do, however, seem strangely reluctant to do this. You're really not doing yourself any favours...
I don't have any details.
Unlike arrogant illiterate imbecils like you, when someone tells me something I don't call them liars and ask for proof.

You mean hybrids.
The very few 10 yo milk floats on the road today won't get 20 miles off a full charge, unless they had battery replaced at cost of a very decent used petrol car.

Nobody's calling you a liar and asking for proof. They're asking for more information. However (some of them, at least) are rapidly getting fed up with your crap and will soon reach a decision on your story, with or without you. It's in your hands...

No, if I'd meant hybrids, I'd have said hybrids... Saying what I mean, is just something that comes naturally to me. Do you find it difficult, or something?

Here you go. EVs 10 or more years old....

...it really wasn't difficult...

Get your translator to explain this to you

Those are all scraps!
I bet they can't guarantee battery efficiency.
Try calling them and ask if you want proof.
I wish the whole world was as stupid as you; I would be a billionaire by now, selling rubbish and telling you it's gold.
:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
Let me understand your twisted mind: I report a statement made by a third party and you go on and on that you want more details because it's surely a lie.
But then you believe car dealers blindly when they want to sell you some 10 year old milk floats.
Are you totally insane or trolling?

Tell you what: let's save ourselves both a load of time and just chalk it down to either you or your neighbour talking rubbish then. :)

What kind of guarantee do you get on a 10 year old ICE?;)

Try calling them and ask if you want proof.

:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Yes, I thought you wouldn't take it well when you started with your rubbish about "The very few 10 yo milk floats on the road today won't get 20 miles off a full charge, unless they had battery replaced at cost of a very decent used petrol car" and got presented with evidence of several hundred EVs over 10 years old. You're not used to that, are you? I expect you're a bit embarrassed that you didn't think to look on Autotrader and set the filters to see what was out there in terms of 10 year old EVs before shooting your mouth off like that... :ROFLMAO:

Let me understand your twisted mind: I report a statement made by a third party and you go on and on that you want more details because it's surely a lie.

No, I wanted more details because I wanted more details. However, you've gone on about me thinking it's a lie for so long now, that I've decided to just go along with it and agree with you...:)

But then you believe car dealers blindly when they want to sell you some 10 year old milk floats.
Are you totally insane or trolling?

What is it that I'm supposed to be "blindly believing"? That those cars exist and are on Autotrader? Yes, I believe that. I don't think many people go to the trouble and expense of advertising a car that doesn't exist on Autotrader, but I'm sure you know better...

...or maybe the Autotrader website has been hacked and nefarious people are creating fake listings of 10+ year old EVs for sale, just to discredit you...? could happen, I guess...

...or maybe I'm not supposed to be believe they're 10 or more years old? Well... I guess the number plates could have all been Photoshopped...

...or maybe I'm not supposed to believe they're car dealers? Well, some of them are. You can usually tell by the words "Private Seller" on the photo. If they're not there, it's a dealer. Get a grownup to help you trying to spot them...

What kind of guarantee do you get on a 10 year old ICE?;)
AA, RAC, independent, etc.

Again you can't understand English.
Where did I say that there are no 10 yo milk floats for sale?
And what part of "won't get 20 miles off a full charge" you didn't understand?
I told you, get a translator or a carer to explain things to you.

Ah, ok. Thanks for confirming you're just trolling.
I leave you to it as you've once again demonstrated how inefficient human brains can be.
I forgive you as you surely and clearly have some sort of brain damage.

AA, RAC, independent, etc.

Strange? All the guarantees I've come across tend to be in years / miles... Maybe you can't understand English...? ;)

Here's what you said:

(I showed you a link to several hundred)

won't get 20 miles off a full charge

*******s - and you know it.:)

unless they had battery replaced at cost of a very decent used petrol car.

You just can't resist it, can you? Shooting your mouth off without being able to back your claim up!:ROFLMAO:

(and you wonder why nobody takes your tall stories seriously...)

Yeah, I've given you every chance to convince me otherwise, and at each one, you've just wriggled and squirmed and hurled a few (pretty mediocre) insults, but utterly failed to provide any actual information to back yourself up. I'm just going to have to put that with your other anti-EV stories, in the "unsubstantiated *******s" pile...

I'm really hoping that one day, you

Never known AA or Rac or a n other to issue a guarantee on a 10 year old car, ICE or EV.

What's your bet he'll have another neighbour who'll tell him he got an RAC 100,000 mile, 10 year warranty on a 10 year old Range Rover...?;)

(I showed you a link to several hundred)
273 scraps in the whole of UK.

As said, I don't have proof of a statement made by someone else.
I don't go around telling people they're liars.

Prove it!

BTW, as carmemoranda pointed out, AA and RAC don't issue warranty for vehicles over 10 year old.
My mistake.
However, for any vehicle of any age, batteries are not included in the warranty.

Good job that the evidence shows they are not the weak link then (y)

(The weak links are corrosion, suspension etc, which they all share with ICE cars.)

The evidence that I've seen, is that an EV is easier to keep on the road than an ICE car, at least for the first 10 to 15 years.
Because there is little to no drivetrain maintenance, compared to an ICE.

273 scraps in the whole of UK.

If they're scrap, why are they up for sale (many of them for good money)? (And 273 is about right, in proportion to the percentage of EVs on the road 10 years ago. Remember, ICEs have been around a bit longer...)

As said, I don't have proof of a statement made by someone else.
I don't go around telling people they're liars.

Maybe just think about about the credibility of what you're being told before parroting it out on the forum next time...? (Just a suggestion...):)

Prove it!

I've got a better idea... How about YOU prove YOUR claim that those vehicles won't have more than 20 miles of range unless they've had their batteries replaced? After all, you made the claim... I'm calling BS on it, but feel free to stand by your claim and back it up. (It might be a bit harder for you this time though, because you haven't got the "well, that's what my neighbour told me" excuse...;)

Er... every new EV sold in this country comes with at least an 8 year battery warranty...

Let's see how many of those 10 yo milk floats will be still on the road in 10 years.
My bet: none.

I dont think they guarantee any car, 10 years old or less.

They just do a check on any car requested and issue a report.

You want a guarantee, you buy from a reputable dealer with warranty. ICE or EV

That is 1 hell of a bet.

Why do you think an EV will be less likely to be on the road in 10 years than an ICE ?

People spend money on them, they tend to keep the value in their car by reegular servicing and maintenance. Those costs on EV are without any doubt much cheaper.

This is from a petrolhead with 3 ice cars and no EV, so not an EV supporter, just a mechanic watching the trade change in front of my eyes.
