I am trying to sort a problem with a Renault Clio, that a diagnostics test has shown has a fuel sensor problem, its a 53 plate petrol engine, the Haynes manual I have does not list a fuel sensor, am I right to assume this is referring to the Map sensor, hope its something simple.

Does the engine suffer from a low idle speed, and cutting out from time to time?
If so, the MAP sensor is a likely culprit.....its a push fit into the inlet manifold trunking and mustn't be allowed to leak air at all, or indeed the rubber pipes leading to it.
There could be a fuel pressure sensor though but I think that's only on the 2 litre engines.
John :)

No it’s a 1.2 life but the symptoms you describe are relevant to problem thanks it’s place to start from
