fuse for electric plug?

I just moved from Beijing to Switzerland. The electric current is the same, but the plugs differ (flat prongs for China, round prongs for Switzerland).

I bought a Swiss plug at the hardware store and want to rewire some small electric appliances. I decided to start with my iron, which is the most expendable. It is 10A 2500 V and has a molded plug which I cut off. The wires inside are straightforward (green, blue, brown) and I understand how to connect them.

My question is regarding the fuse. The swiss plug I bought does not have a fuse, and I don't see a place to put a fuse. Do I need to buy a fuse for the plug? And if so, what type?

given that afaict 2500V is not a standard voltage and that it would be a bloody big heater if its was 2500V 10A (25KW!) i think it is safe to assume so.
