What is the difference between fused and unfused plugs? I have some lamos that I need to change the plugs to fit the sockets so they will all turn on from one switch at the door. Is is safe to fit unfused plugs even though the original plugs were 3amp fused plugs?

i guess you mean 2A or 5A round pin sockets

assuming theese are connected to the lighting cuircuit (and not wired onto the ring by some dodgy installer) there should be no problem with using the correct unfused round pin plugs.

the main reason we use fused plugs for general power in the uk is to allow for very high rated (32A) socket cuircuits.

Cuircuit, do you mean circuit :?: ............Theese,these :?: . Suggest you use spell check when posting reply, hope your workmanship is not like your spelling
