Hi, can anyone help me? I am fitting a G2 Wireless Honeywell alarm in my house. I have already fitted the main box and have run a wire from the bell box and another to a key pad. Where do I fit the RF portal box and how do I wire the box? Cheers

In a high as possible position.
On the same data line as the keypad.
So A to A , B to B +12 and 0v as per.

It should be daisy chained but you can "star" just put the EOL (670 OHM supplied with both items, thats the ones not coloured blue)resistor in the keypad and the RF Portal. Then take the link off next to the AB connections on the panel.

Now you don't really have to do the resistors and link as it will all work but if you were to call tech they would................oh yeah hang up on you.

It is best practise to do as I advise for the connections above.

hello, Honeywell tech support ......................oh dear, not registered...........sorry we cannot help you! sounds familiar don't it!!!

the G2 is an easy one mate,
put the spare resistors in the terminal in the panel,

DONT POWER UP THE SYSTEM UNTIL YOU HAVE CONNECTED ALL PARTS,
ie, the RF portal, Remote keypad, external siren, speaker etc.

are you using all radio devices?

or are you using wired as well?

also remember to fit a 7AH 12v battery, nothing smaller.

have fun!!!
because if you have not done one before you will really have fun!!!

Oasis, you use the spares in the unused terminals?
Why? dont tell me you fell for the H/well reps version, dust !!!
I just spare the CCTS and leave it at that. Never had an issue.

Totally agree wire all first with these. Also with a 7ah.

OP you also ask about the "box" do you mean the bel box? Which one are you using?

which bit mate,?

personally i believe, if you ain't an alarm engineer you shouldn't touch em!!!

and most of the large suppliers will only talk to you if you are registered, but thats easy to do with some of them!

but thats just a personal thing!!!

Exactly what you say. The professional stuff should be left to trades only. I like how Honeywell wont help if you're not registered with them, hopefully keeps a little more control over who fits em.... I love Premiers, so easy to use, but we don't fit them as a rule. This is down to how easy end users can gain access to technical help via Texe. Wrong imo
