I own a very old (250 year old-ish house) which is on three levels.
Top floor has has three rooms, plus largest room has attic area, which is sectioned of from main bedroom (stud partition) finishing with internal side of gable end.
I have recently noticed, parts of internal sandstone is crumbling to a fine powder, also, what I imagine will be lime mix, don't look too clever either at certain areas.
Appreciate any advice what issue is and, how to fix, please? I should mention, ventilation is suffice.
