gainsborough 9.5 SDL shower Help needed please

I have a gainsborough 9.5 SDL shower which has just decided to stop giving any hot water. It goes on and off ok and the water is cold. Does the mean the heating element of it has packed up.
Advise needed please if anybody can give me any before i go spending on a new one

not much you can do with these showers as they are a sealed unit.
and comes as a complete engine rather than seperate parts.
