Gainsborough Energy 2000X Problem

I moved into my house 2 and half years ago and the shower fitted was a Gainsborough Energy 2000X. Up until now things have been fine with it but as of yesterday morning when I go to switch it on the lights light up on the front of the unit but nothing else happens (i.e no water or sound of it trying to work) happens. I think the shower is about 6 years old but could be slightlt longer. This morning I went to turn it on and it worked so I turned off went to grab a towel for a shower but when I turned it back on again nothing happened!!

Does anyone have any ideas as to the problem?

sounds like a bad connection.
check the connections on the solenoid valve below the neon light board.
