Hi
I understand that with the G2 panel that if a zone is activated whilst the panel is set then the alarm will sound for the set 10 minutes in parameters.

After this time, the system resets, continues to flash the bell box , and then if another zone is activated the bell box will re-sound again and send notification.

Is there any settings that determine how many times this can happen before will stop entirely and require a user reset, or is it infinite?

Thanks.

Not just another zone - the same zone can re-trigger the sounder.

From an answer I gave a couple of years ago on how this works:

A zone trigger causes the bell timer to start counting down. Another zone trigger causes the bell timer to restart. Rinse and repeat until someone rips the siren off the wall.

If not connected to an ARC or self monitoring setup and DD243 is not a requirement, you can set menu option 51.55.6 - Rearm mode from 'On confirm' to 'on bell-timeout'. Once set, you can setup 51.9 (zone lockout) to allow up to 9 zone triggers from each individual zone before the offending zone is automatically omitted from the system. This way, if you are on holiday and have no way of remotely excluding a zone which appears to have a faulty detector, the zone will remove itself from the system and stop neighbours from going insane.
