Hi everyone

I need some advice so I had new windows fitted in my property

I have a a curved bay window in living room and front bedroom. My old windows were aluminium and had a wooden frame going around

The issue I have is when the fitters where fitting the bay windows I noticed. Quite a wide gap on both sides . When I questioned they said this is normal as they don't know internally how the wall is behind the old wood trim when measuring

They foamed the gaps and covered with pvc fascia

I have attached pics of the gap

Is this acceptable
