Hi All

I am tiling the whole kitchen floor and laminating the hall directly outside. There is no door just an arch. I am thinking of putting in a T threshold, hopefully in chrome if I can locate. But, what gap do I leave initially between the tiled floor and the laminate ?

As the laminate runs the length of the hall rather than across it will be crossing the door perpendicular to the kitchen so I presume I finish the laminate at the doorway wall (minus the oblig 5mm wall space) and the tiling after the gap.

?

Thanks in advance

Totally depends on the profile you purchase, it will have a particular type of fitting and it is this fitting that will dictate where you need to finish the floor to allow expansion on the laminate side.
