The flue through the external solid wall (Victorian house) was removed and replaced earlier in the year when the gas boiler was fixed. There's a gap around the flue that I'd like to fill as I'm draught hunting at the moment and was wondering if I could use an expanding foam which was heat resistant.

If so, any recommendations? If not, what else could I use?

The installer SHOULD have sealed the outside with sand and cement.

The inside is best sealed with plaster but a rubber gasket can also be used as long as the outside is gas tight.
