I just discovered some old push fits on CH pipework. I can only see the very top of the pushfit, but there is some gap between what seems to be two part of the adapter, and in that gap there was some tile adhesive. Not thinking much about it, I removed that adhesive (along with floor tiles), but now I wonder whether that might have stopped a leak, see photo.

There is no sign of any current leak, but the floor boards suggest that there has been some leak in the past, but that might have been before this pipe was put in (the floorboards show it used to be further to the right) or from the shower screen leaking.

I am currently laying LVT flooring in the bathroom, half the room is done already, so could someone please put my mind at rest, or make me bite the bullet and lift floor and flooring?
Or could I use some leak sealer on it, just in case? (I bought some Fernox Lsx last year, maybe it's still workable?)

Thanks!

Thats a demountable push fit. The bit with the adhesive in is where you would push down to allow you to pull the fitting apart. As it looks its absolutely fine and as it should be.
