I have recently put up some lining paper and painted it but found that some of the joints despite my best efforts are still quite noticeable and wondered if anyone had an easy tip to get rid of them, I thought about filler and trying to skimover the joins but not sure oif this is best or not.

Yes Damo filler will be fine but put it on carefully....if you use a wide blade knife then the area that is filled and or course sanded will be flatter than the surface of the lining paper and paint finish...

So...fill it with a narrow knife.an inch filling knife will be ideal...then, carefully wipe either side of the joint with a damp rag to remove the access.hopefully just leaving filler in the gap or thereabouts.

Then sand.....again very lightly...

You will need to paint the whole wall again though...after you have touched up the bare filler...(use a rad roller not a brush for this) if you dont 'flashing' will occur.
