Gaps in skirting

Hi all

If skirting is being fitted and left natural, would you expect to have to fill joins being staining/varnishing?

Depends on the gaps.

Skirting boards fitted on uneven walls, or badly fitted skirting is not ascetically pleasing.

If you fit and leave unpainted you really need the fixings plugged so there should be nothing to fill.
