Hello, I need some advice relating to what timber i should use, I was planning on using this:

For the outer wall, 50mm air gap then 90mm Celetox between the studs, as its going to be a music room I planned to use Acoustic plaster board all round.

Then for the internal studs i was planning on using this:

My question is should i be looking at getting kiln dried timber, rather than the Tanalised C16 as above?

as always any advice and help greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Sound containment in any building is at best tricky, one of the big technical details being how to avoid sonic bridging. British Gypsum, have a white book freely available online, which shows the type of materials they have available with a section on acoustics (also the site book, worth looking at) other manufacturers have similar types of products, but I believe they all play catch up when it comes to this freely available technical details.

Hope this helps...pinenot :)
