Hi everyone,

Can someone please advise on whats the best way of securing a timber base plate to a concrete floor. What type of screws and plugs and how do I go about doing it?

Base plate for what?

A timber stud wall (using 3x2)

You will need floor insulating then the wall on top so not secured to concrete at all.

I'm not putting any insulation on the gf; the p/a is very low and the proposed use of the room will only be as a store/ office.

Any advice on fixing direct to concrete?

No need to fix to floor, fix to walls and ceiling or you may damage existing dpm.

That what I thought until a joiner told me to fix it to the conc with plugs - just didnt know how exactly.
