Garage Door Opener wiring

I've fitted my own garage roller doors. The instructions for are fairly comprehensive and the internal switch is fine and I've successfully paired the remote

I need to fit an external Key Switch I have been supplied with and I wanted to check that my proposed wiring is correct.

Yes your wiring looks to be ok but can't tell which switch is going to be actuated by the key cam. If it is the wrong way round when you
re-assemble the key assy. just swop the switches over

If you wished, you could add a second similar switch in the garage, in parallel with that switch.

Your wiring idea is basically right. The external key switch is just a volt free momentary contact. Use COM and NO on the key switch, not NC. At the control board fit the permanent links exactly as shown, G to U and G to S, then land the two key switch wires on the manual control input terminals. Polarity does not matter. Make sure the cable is low voltage, segregated from mains, and that the switch springs back to centre. Test with the motor cover on, some units disable external inputs when open.
