Garage floor help

My garage floor needs some attention and i have been offered some vinyl flooring (hospital grade stuff welded) will this stand up to the job of a garage floor? cars / tools / oils etc
i would need to screed the floor to smooth it out and get rid of hollows. would the standard latex stuff be up to the job? i am thinking along the lines of frost pulling it up

the flooring is only as good as the screeding compound underneath. First you will need a working dpm and then a water or acrylic smoothing compound with a high strength. Also the glue itself that holds the flooring in place may be damaged if it freezes.
