Garage Side Door - Costing

Hi

I have an external garage, the side of which is at the bottom of our garden. I would like to put a side door in that wall so I can access the garage from our garden, instead of having to leave our house and go around the outside. How much would this roughly cost? It's a brick garage with a pitched roof (if that makes a difference).

I'm guessing I wouldn't need planning permission?
