Thanks. I've posted in other forums as well and discovered that to current specs, my joists are well under what they should be (47x170) so currently looking into options there..

I guess you could always add some beefier joists in between the existing ones if you were concerned about weight tolerance.

I think that's the approach I'm going to take, as well as bolting through the rafter/current joists too. Seems the simplest approach I can work with currently

Which was why I suggested reinforcing them by bolting at the eaves, and adding centre supports at mid-span.
