Hi there we have a single garage. the roof of the garage is asbestos..We are not using the garage space very actively at the moment(other than storing our bins and some card baord boxes). But now this year only we have seen rain water is coming in from the other side wall (not the one near the house). we are not sure whether it is the gap between the end of roof and the wall or it is some other gap..We dont want to do any major changes (like changing the roof or rebuilding the garage walls etc) is there any temporary solution to stop the rain water.

is it north facing?.
does the water only show after a good rain?.
is it running down the wall, from the roof?.

if it starts at top of wall and travels more and more down the wall, then it suggests a roof leak.
if its coming through the bricks it would appear randomly on the wall.

sounds like a roof leak then but hard to know with not seeing the problem area

Go out there when it's raining and determine where it's coming in. If the roof sheets are leaking, then they either have not enough overlap on the sheets, water coming in through the screw holes, or they are cracked (even hairline cracks can leak pretty bad on asb. sheeting). Get some roof repair compound in a tin. Wickes do some 5ltr tins of stuff for under £20.

It could also be coming in the gap between top of wall and corrugations of the roof. either use mortar or expanding foam to seal this.

Could also be blowing in through gaps in the concrete panels. el cheapo silicone, or expanding foam if you can see daylight coming through.
