Hi,
I need some more sockets in the garge, as I have only one. A local sparky has quoted me and it seems steep as he said there is alot of work involved. I didn't think so, but am not too sure. Basically I have one cable coming from the house into the garage, into a double socket, then onto a fused socket, which is for the boiler, programmer etc. Cant he just extend the existing double socket adding two more doubles, so he goes from house into and out of the three sockets and then onto the fused socket? I wouldn't have thought that would have taken too long. He said it was already spur (from the house) and could not be extended, therefore he would have to do some more rewiring and make them into the ring, by getting another cable out into the garage to make the ring. Is this right?
Cheers in advance.
