"GARBAGE DISPOSAL"

HI FOLKS,
I wish to install a garbage diposal, but I have no receptacle to plug it in, or a switch to turn on, or off. I have a dish washer about 4-ft. from the sink I wish to use for the G/D-Can I come off the receptacle for the D/W to a switch then to the a new receptacle, and what would be the best way to run the wires from that location. I want to make the receptacle from the D/W top always hot and bottom switched for the G/D.
Any help on this project will be appreciated..
