I do have a camera at the back, Ring spotlight/motion. That's picked up nothing, but I dunno if you mean cameras that go under the decking, or just something out there that isn't motion detected but see's at night?

I do have a Ring subscription, motion only to go back and watch I think, though

They probably mean to look under the decking for evidence of rats.
If you have an illuminated CCTV camera with good night vision, the rats will be most obvious as two little bright dots moving around.
