Garden Tap - Quick Question Re: Leak

Fitted one of these garden tap kits for my mum about 2 years ago

I popped around yesterday and the inside self cutting tap is squirting out water just below the tap handle when in the open position (water flowing to outside tap). If the tap is closed the leak stops.


Are these taps serviceable like a normal tap - e.g. do they have replaceable washers? Or would i need to replace the whole tap fitting which is cut into the pipe?

they are cr*p they leak and restrict flow get a descent valve.
cut the pipe where and fit one of these.

Good idea - i wasnt keen on the self cutting tap when i fitted it but didnt think about using a washing machine valve
