I need to replace a bath tap which is leaking.

The existing tap is connected with JG Speedfit pipe and tap connectors. They are the metal type like the below, not the plastic ones.

Can I simply swap the tap and connect the tap connectors to the new one, or should I replace the black washer?

If it needs replacing, what type of washer is it?

Swap and use existing, change if it leaks. Search John Guest tap connector washer if you want one or ask your local merchant if they stock them
