hi there,

i had an outside tap fitted today. the problem is where the green hose meets the tap and secured with a jubilee clip, no matter how tight the clip is, it will still leak.

ive tightend it up very tight and its still leaking and now ive over tightned the clip and its not gripping anymore. its not got any worse. now ive turned the valve off inside.

i would ask the plumber to come back but my oh did not like the guy one bit and it would be a very awkward situation.

how can i fix this myself, the jubilee seems useless.

thanks

lol...yup +1, that wasn't a plumber that installed that, those kits from the sheds are for DIY use and a plumber wouldn't dream of using them.

I assume it has a check valve built in and if the supply pipe's exposed it's been lagged??
