Gas and Electricity Prices

Now the Brent Crude price is around half the value of a year ago when the Utility companies raised their prices and maintained the increase as the Oil price dropped with the excuse that these people buy their energy 6 months in advance and as such pay for the energy at the inflated price. They all stated that they would reduce their prices in the spring (after the high winter useage).
WHY ARE THEIR PRICES STILL AT THE INFLATED PRICE NOW THAT THEY ARE BUYING ENERGY AT HALF OF THE PEAK PRICE?
B******S the lot of 'em and our ineffective government is useless to do anything about protecting us all from these parasites.

WHY ARE THEIR PRICES STILL AT THE INFLATED PRICE NOW THAT THEY ARE BUYING ENERGY AT HALF OF THE PEAK PRICE?

Because they know you will drive your oil-loving car home to a nice hot dinner, enjoy a hot bath, surf DIYnot and then turn your lights out when you feel like it.

They know that you're not going to eat a sandwich for dinner, have a cold shower, turn off the PC and sit in the dark. Which, unfortunately, is the only way to reduce energy costs at the moment.
