Gas BBQ hose fitting

Hey guys …

First gas bbq being set up

The hose seems to have gone as far as possible … the jubilee clip is tightened to the metal part so secured

but should the hose be pushed up to the neck of the fitting? The diameter of the fitting looks too wide so not sure

I do not know the answer but if you dip the pipe in a cup of boiling water it will make it softer and might make it easier to push it up further.

Yup did exactly that … and after a lot of huffing and puffing got there
