gas checks for hips?

hi guys

we all know how great landlord checks are for keeping the revenue ticking over. but i cant help thinking if the government were so concerned about gas safety how can it not be a legal requirement to have a gas check when purchasing a house? do you think private houses will have to have there gas checked every couple of years?any rumours on this? that really would be boom time!!

count the number of gas engineers who would vote yes, then count the number of voters who would vote no, who do you think would win? it is the same as demanding all cars are serviced every year by a franchised dealer, no government has the balls to put something like this forward it is a vote loser (think of all the expenses they would lose)

maybe not serviced but cars get the mot every year!would be nice if they did mot on every boiler every year))at least in home sales anyway. after all should nt it be illegal not to have gas electric tested if selling. instead they have this stupid hip's, i think most buyers would prefer to have gas electric tested then some ****ty epc, or land search in a hip. maybe some day!!
