Did a LLC today.
LFE Gas Fires flue was unsupported on the loft. Ridge tile boot was connected to the Rigde tile by 18 inches of chicken wire. No bolts, no gasket. I took the wire away and the 5 inch flue pipe just fell away.
I picked up a couple of 5" flue supports, put some noggins in to hold the brackets & gutter bolted the boot to the ridge tile with a gasket and fire proof silicone to make a seal from boot to tile.
All this must have passed an inspection when the house was built (3 years ago).
Should I RIDDOR it? Of couse I will!
