Hi,

I've got a Flavel Richmond gas fire which was fitted in 2004 which has been working perfectly up until last week.

It ignites perfectly etc but from time to time it starts to make a crackling sound, sometimes a popping sound. I can usually eradicate the noises if I decrease or increase the heat.

It's never had any problems in the past and has never been serviced.

Does anyone know what might be causing these noises? Could it possibly need cleaning or servicing?

Any help is appreciated.

K-Rod.

Get it serviced, the coals could need replacing or may have just moved position a bit.
