Hi,
I wonder if anybody may have any suggestions re a gas fire problem I am experiencing.
The fire is a Flavel Windsor HE, installed July 2012, under 3 year guarantee.
What is happening is that when there is a high wind outside, it won't light. The pilot flame just keeps blowing out.
Otherwise the fire is working perfectly, and a moderate wind doesn't affect it, it has to be a pretty strong wind.
It has meant I have had quite a few freezing days lately, so I would like to find out what can be done. I am going to go to the installer about it, but want to learn more about the issue first.
I have heard of draft diverters, pilot light shields, or adjusters on the gas fire.
I am wondering maybe has the installer not installed the fire correctly, or is this a common problem ?
Many thanks for any input.
