Hi,

I am currently trying to plan the layout of my kitchen, and in order to make everything fit I have come up with a layout that has a gas hob with 150mm clearance to the side of a tall unit on one side and 900mm to the other side. Does this breach any health and safety regulations? MFI said that this would not work, and that I need at least 300mm either side...

All advice gratefully apreciated, don't want to break the law!

You will probably find, the manufacturers instructions on hobs will say 400 mm from a wall or tall cupboard.
