I have just had a new gas hob connected up by a gas safe engineer. I am informed that the only paperwork that is required is the company receipt.

However, a relation of mine has also had a new cooked installed recently and she tells me that she was given a certificate as well as a receipt.

Earlier this year I had a new central heating boiler installed, and later received a 'Building Regulations Compliance' certificate in the post.

Should I also expect one of these for the hob?

Regards.

the rules changed with the demise of the money grabbing Corgi
we no longer need to issue a building cert for cooker or hob, a receipt should have the details written on it
as we do a lot our invoice has a space for the details including serial number.
