I am in the middle of re-doing my kitchen after buying a flat.

the flat has 2 bedrooms one of which will be a spare room..
the kitchen currently houses the boiler, and the gas meter.
the kitchen also has a chimney breast and a small protruding wall.

what I am considering doing is swapping the kitchen and bedroom because the spare room is slightly bigger than the kitchen and is less of an irregular shape.

the exising kitchen would then become the spare room with built in wardrobes along the wall that has the chimney breast and small wall.. this is also the wall the boiler is on..

there is an air vent under the boiler, next to the gas meter..

can I do this or are there regulations about having boilers or gas meters in bedrooms???

And I dis-agree

It depends on the boiler, make and model.

But I wouldn't know a Vaillant Turbomax if I was stood next to it, then again it may have the name on the front. now that would be a really good clue.

Painfull Tony, both of them

If it was any closer to the worktop it could be a Bermuda

Nothing wrong with it OP, but would affect resale value which you may or may not need to take into account.

The boiler in a bedroom disturbs sleep patterns, estate agents frown on it, affects resale value. OTOH you aren't using it as a bedroom, much. Maybe have a plan to swap it back when resale becomes aparent?

Let's face it we have answred your technical question, but tthere are further issues of a non technical nature, others can best advise on.
