Gas oven heat problem

I have a stoves oven that seems to be stuck on high(eg9) even when its on its lowest setting

How long are you leaving it before you try and turn the flame down ?

have tried few minutes up to 30min with no change

The oven thermostat is faulty,it`ll need a new one,fitted by a Gas Safe registered engineer.
