Renovating a house
Gas is switched off. Come across an old gas pipe which fed a cooker. Still live
It's slightly smaller then 15 mm so think it's imperial so thinking half inch
tried a 12mm stop end on it . I suspect a 15mm stop end will be to big. Am at a loss at finding a stop end of it .
Any help please !

Shut off the gas and call a registered engineer.

Who's to say the stop end once fitted then leaks or another part of the pipework leaks because it's been disturbed by the fitting of the stop end. There's a reason we're not allowed to give out DIY gas advice as it can kill people.
