I have a Potterton Promax HE plus 15/2. I have recently had a water leak which was fixed by a Baxi engineer. He found the gas pressure at the boiler to be 15mbar. The gas pressure at the meter is 22mbar. I have been told the gas pressure at the boiler should be at least 17mbar, the manual says 18.1. The boiler is situated in the kitchen a short distance from the meter, just the other side of the wall. The pipe work that comes in is 22mm but 15mm at the boiler. The pipe size is reduced close to the boiler.
The meter is new and was changed in early January last year just before I bought the house.
The house is 15 years old.
My questions is – is it definitely a blockage in the pipe work causing the low gas pressure or could it be something in the boiler – like the gas valve filter?
