Can someone please advise on a 'ball park' figure of splitting an existing gas main to serve a flat. The current arrangement consists of a gas main terminating in a gas meter for one dwelling. I'm proposing to convert the dwelling into two flats therefore a second meter is required.

Any ideas of costs and whats the required diameter of the existing supply in order to serve two meters.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Pretty sure a new (separate) service will be needed for a second meter, National Grid will not split an existing service to supply 2 meters.

For a new service/supply up to and including meter, anything upwards of £600....
