Looking to hang a couple of 5ft high x 190cm gates, but may in future put something bigger (field gate) what size posts should I use to future proof it, would 100mm x 100mm be ok or should I be looking at 7 x 7 inch wooden posts?

The bigger the better - 4" posts aren't really enough so go for the big ones, sink them in nice and deep and back fill with concrete.
