Gate post size

I am going to put up a new gate but am not quite sure how big a post I need.

I have a gap of 1962mm including posts and I want the it to be 6ft high. I am planning to split the gate in the middle, would 100mm x 100mm posts be sufficient?

I would think you'd need 150mm square posts for that. Just for peace of mind and avoiding the huge aggravation of having to redo them - it's not worth under specifying just to save a few quid.
